DFCITY PKNS Shareholders Meeting Minutes on April
SHAH ALAM, April 29, 2022 — At 2:45p.m., the regular directors and shareholders meeting of DFCITY PKNS SDN BHD was held at Bougainvillea 2 Ibu Pejabat PKNS BLok B Tingkat 5, seek to discuss the development of DongFangCity. The meeting was attended by Jeffery, shareholder of DFCITY PKNS SDN BHD, Jayden, Head of External Affairs Department of DFCITY, PKNS COO, and Special Assistant to His Royal Highness Tengku Sulaiman Shah.
At the meeting, both sides conducted an in-depth discussion on the development of DongFangCity in the post-pandemic era. Jeffery, shareholder of DFCITY PKNS SDN BHD, expressed his gratitude to PKNS for its long-term concern and support to DongFangCity, and introduced the group's business layout and future plans in detail. He said that the chairman of DongFangCity Holding Group Company attaches great importance to this meeting of directors and shareholders. The meeting has three purposes: first, in the post-pandemic era, DongFangCity's large-scale capital investment of RM20 million (invested by a well-known investment fund company) is a “timely rain” to relieve the pressure on local fiscal revenue and expenditure, and it is also a “tonic” to bail out and stimulate market vitality. In such a difficult world economic environment, the chairman of DongFangCity, Dato’ Dr. Li Wei, took action to show that he vowed to carry out “DongFangCity” to the end. The second is to improve the cooperation mechanism. In addition to the traditional cooperation methods, DongFangCity and PKNS have also launched new cooperation models such as equity cooperation and industrial investment, and have conducted in-depth exploration on how to deepen government-enterprise cooperation. It is hoped that both sides will take this negotiation as an opportunity to establish all-round, multi-domain, and in-depth cooperation and improve the cooperation mechanism.The third is to implement the relocation work in the post-pandemic era. With the opening of Malaysia's borders on April 1, Malaysia's tourism industry will also recovered. At present, the Chinese government has adopted the world's most stringent virus clearance policy. The country has not yet opened, but in time, the China-Malaysia border will be officially opened, and the relocation of DongFangCity to Bernam Jaya project site should also listed on the agenda as soon as possible.
