Seize the Opportunities & Promote Tourism Integration
KUALA LUMPUR, April 19, 2022 — At 1:00 pm, at the invitation of His Royal Highness Tengku Sulaiman Shah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DongFangCity, Dato’ Dr. Li Wei, Chairman of DongFangCity Holding Group, and the Chief Confidential Secretary of the Minister of Malaysian Free Trade State held the first cordial discussion at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, to jointly seek the development plan of DongFangCity, strengthen the tourism cooperation and development plans of the two sides, and create a community of destiny with its own characteristics and close cooperation to expand greater space for the development of tourism on Malaysian islands.
As we all know, there is a shortage of sea areas for the development of DongFangCity, and the islands have irreplaceable landscape resources compared to land. The free trade state has nearly 394 water areas and unique island resources, which are suitable for the development of high-end leisure and vacation, and there are currently no large-scale development entities. In the future, DongFangCity will enter the comprehensive development of the state's islands as the overall development operator of the block, and start leisure projects such as resorts and hotels in the early stage, and develop high-end island villa projects when the time is right in the future. This move has also greatly filled the gap of tourism in the waters of DongFangCity.
Dato’ Dr. Li Wei, Chairman of DongFangCity Holding Group, said at the meeting that DongFangCity starting from a small vision since ten years ago, after the infiltration of spring and autumn, now we are standing on the new version of the tourism, subverting tradition, taking Oriental culture and integrating high-tech, constructing a new city, integrating art and wisdom, sitting on 6,000 acres of land, 1 listed company in Malaysia, 2 quasi-listed companies in the United States, 488 hardcover villas that have been developed, and in the future, as the world's aircraft carrier-class tourism sector, we carry the label of Oriental culture, with the purpose to create a World Expo that will never-ending and to introduce the world’s advanced technology — Metaverse — DongFang Time-space, which will open a door to the future for the world. The integration with many star-rated hotels, ecological apartments, water parks, entertainment centers, and closer inheritance will open up a new landmark of world tourism that nurtures humanities. In the future, Malaysia's political and economic status in the world will be greatly enhanced, driving 50,000 jobs, 50 million passenger flows, and such a huge consumer group will flow back to the water tourism of certain states, which will greatly increase the state's economic and foreign exchange income.

His Royal Highness Tengku Sulaiman Shah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DongFangCity, said at the meeting that the consensus on cooperation reached will promote the development of multi-field tourism in DongFangCity faster. This time, DongFangCity opened a strategic cooperation with island tourism, truly realizing 1+1 > 2, and realizing the complementary values between different regions and different tourism. In the future, seaside holiday villas will be built, as well as five-star hotels. The goal is to become the first sailing base with pure British sailing culture.
